Description: Scarce '60s textbook intended for use by 7-12 year olds – although the level of English used in the comprehension texts, and subsequent exercises, could give even a teenager a run for their money!

The beginning of each chapter is illustrated with a b&w line drawing on a purple background.

Textured covers are worn. Rear is rubbed. Front is scratched, rubbed, and has a faint inventory number inscribed, plus a school stamp (refer to image). Spine worn with negligible losses at head and tail (less than ½ cm). The interior, however, is a completely different story. The students have largely adhered to the request to "not write in this book!" printed after the preface, and the pages are therefore almost free from annotations or scribbling, but a sporadic few have ink stains or pencil marks. A handful are lightly creased from handling. All pages are free from foxing or tanning.
