Description: Adapted from the rear cover: "If you want to play outstanding soccer, or [organise], manage or coach a team, or are simply a fan of the game—here is a book you can't afford to miss!
Three of America's outstanding soccer authorities have pooled their years of experience and knowhow and produced a book crammed with the kind of information that has previously been available only to soccer professionals.
Here are the basics of the game, its history and fundamental skills, along with extensive coverage of the most sophisticated and intricate aspects of the sport. Offensive and defensive tactics and specific situations are fully diagrammed. The advantages and disadvantages of various [manœuvres] and team patterns are discussed. The whole book is lavishly illustrated with charts, diagrams, and [b&w] sequence photographs of soccer players in action."

Internally, the book is in excellent order. Pages are clean, bright, and completely devoid of marks, foxing or tanning. The jacket is complete, but has some minor rubbing and scuffing along the edges. The upper right corner of the front cover appears to be slightly dented.

Overall, a very nice copy of a rare book.
