Rupert: The Daily Express Annual No. 26

Description: Scarce annual consisting of 4 stories in picture strip format – four captioned, full-colour frames to a page – instructions on how to make the Conjuror's paper chain and a paper hearth rug; plus a game and a puzzle (solved with a pencil and ballpoint pen).

Illustrated endpapers and pastedowns.

The annual is in very poor condition. Glazed pictorial boards are creased and scratched. Corners bumped. 4 cm of spine missing from head. The rest of the spine is coming away from the binding. Flyleaf is missing; original owner's name crossed out in ownership panel and previous owner's printed alongside. Page 5 has been torn and is missing roughly 22 cm × 5½ cm (8.8″ × 2.2″). Most pages are stained and/or foxed. Artistic contribution to p.115 in pencil and blue ballpoint.
The vast majority of the illustrations remain in very good condition.
