Illustrated with one excellent colour frontispiece. Blue cloth boards with black text on front and spine. Upper corners and spine bumped. Unusually, the dust jacket has been price-clipped and a revised price of 3/- Net stamped next to it. Jacket is in good overall condition for a wartime edition. Minor stain on front (refer to image). Very light rubbing along the spine where it meets the front board. Further rubbing along right-edge. Light scuffing along extremities, plus a few nicks and closed tears thereon. Rear lightly soiled. Closed tear at tail of spine (repairable; refer to image). Apart from a negligible loss at the tail of the spine, the jacket is complete. Light foxing on page tips and pastedowns. Just a hint of discolouration to the endpapers where they have made contact with the jacket flaps. Otherwise pages are in excellent, unmarked condition and have even managed to resist tanning, despite having been printed on War Economy paper.
