Wonderful, nostalgic full-page colour illustrations on each facing page. Pastedowns and endpapers feature a blue monochrome line drawing of the animals sitting at the table and tucking into the food on offer.

Glazed pictorial boards. Negligible mark on front cover from where an adhesive label once lived. Spine and corners lightly bumped. Previous owner's forename very neatly inscribed in black felt tip on fep. Otherwise all other pages are unmarked and in excellent condition. Super-tight binding.

Although the year of publication is given as 1950, this rare glazed board edition dates from c.1989.
