Description:
This rare pop-up book contains verses inspired by the age-old poem Monday's Child.
The extract below is for Friday's Child:
Sweet Fiona will always lend
A helping hand to a needy friend.
She loves to share her books and toys
And is kind to all the girls and boys.
Beautifully illustrated in full colour. Laminated pictorial boards. Some of the laminate has come away along the spine, and where it meets the front cover, exposing the matt boards beneath. Spine bumped and lightly worn; corners appear to be straight. 'Pages' are printed on stiff card, and are in very good condition: bright, unmarked, glossy to the touch, and free from tanning. One or two pages have a few negligible specks of foxing. All pop-ups are in full working order, and in excellent condition – remarkable for a 45-year-old book. Measures 6.5″ × 9.4″ (16.5 cm × 23.5 cm). Landscape 16mo. Unpaginated Price: £25.00 |
