Description: From the jacket flap (note the distinct lack of punctuation – the actual text in the book is of a far higher standard!): "One fine summer morning the little old train was whizzing along the tracks crowded with fathers and mothers and uncles and aunts and boys and girls, all going from the country to the city. Suddenly right in the middle of a field the train stopped. There sitting on the tracks in front of the train was a big spotted cow. Try what they could, nothing would make her budge. As the train continued to stand in the middle of the field the passengers began to grow angry at the thought that they would be late arriving in the city. And they would have been too, had it not been for a little white mouse…"
Illustrated throughout with charming three-colour drawings – the majority of which are either full- or half-page.
Crimson red cloth boards with black text to spine, and a black illustration of a steam train to front.
