Description: "Ghosts from the sea, ghosts of gold, mining towns, headless horsemen and mysterious lights, the legendary bunyip and a stone-throwing poltergeist are in just a few of the eerie happenings that go to make up this first ever anthology of Australian ghost stories. Over thirty tales have been collected from family histories, police files, old books and newspapers, or have been handed down by word of mouth from bushmen swapping tall stories and here put into gripping modern idiom by such well known writers as Ivan Southall, Colin Thiele and Patricia Wrightson."
No illustrations other than the uncredited effort on the cover.
Covers are worn and lightly creased. The previous owner used the book as a coaster at one point, as a large, circular mark has been impressed into the front cover. Pages have the usual tanning commensurate with a paperback approaching its 40th birthday, but are otherwise unmarked and completely free from foxing. Final page has a negligible closed tear. Super-tight binding.
Measures 17.5 cm × 10.5 cm (7″ × 4.2″). 12mo. 157 pp. + 3 pp. containing synopses of other related books in the series.
