Description: This rare book comprises of 11 wonderful stories written exclusively for this collection, plus several pages of puzzles – all of which have been left unsolved. Also contains a number of general interest articles, including how Christmas is celebrated in other countries.

Beautifully illustrated throughout with two-colour monochrome woodcuts (colours vary between orange, red, blue, and green), many of which are full-page. Also contains a b&w sketch of Derek McCulloch printed on the title page. Illustrated pastedowns and endpapers.

Considering its age and purpose, the book is in very good overall condition. The endpapers have become slightly discoloured where they have made contact with the boards. The remainder of the pages are in very good condition and are totally free of foxing – having said that there are a few sporadic marks (mainly imperfections in the War Economy paper). The boards are heavily rubbed along the edges and all corners have been chipped. The previous owner has signed her name on the front (refer to image).

Measures 25 cm × 20.5 cm (10″ × 8.2″). 4to. 125 pp.
