Description: The first book in the legendary Ladybird Key Words series. Large text in a school handwriting font makes for very easy reading.

Beautiful full-page colour illustrations on every facing page.

Matt pictorial boards have been laminated by the school. Small school stamp on title page and front pastedown. Considering its age and provenance, the book is in remarkably good condition for a 40-year-old classroom copy. Pages are only lightly creased from handling – and there is some very faint foxing one on or two – but are in otherwise very good condition: free from scribbling or any other marking, and tightly bound.

Not a first edition, as there is an SBN (introduced in 1966) on the rear, and the price of 2′6 NET (which is also in a later font) should appear on the front pastedown, rather than the rear cover.
This copy likely dates from c.1968, and is a very nice example of an early printing.
