Title: A Second Ladybird Key Words Picture Dictionary and Spelling Book
Author: J. McNally
Illustrator: Eric Winter
Publisher: Ladybird Books Ltd.
Remarks: '70s reprint
Book Condition: Fair/Good
Jacket Condition: No Jacket
Description: Charming little dictionary which introduces basic words with the aid of sample sentences and accompanying illustrations. Entries are listed alphabetically.
In true Ladybird fashion, there are delightfully nostalgic, full-page colour illustrations on every other page.
The dictionary was clearly prized by its previous owner, with 'love bites' being present on the front and rear boards. The spine is chipped and rubbed, and has a 5 mm (0.2") loss on the tail (see image). Despite its poor external condition, the book is actually in rather good order inside. Some pages are lightly creased, yet remain clean and are free from any foxing, scribbling, or other marking. The binding is also surprisingly tight.
Although this is a rare book, the price has been adjusted on account of its external condition.
Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7" × 4.6"). 12mo. 51 pp.
