Crimson cloth boards with a large silver gilded illustration of a pipe-smoking, bespectacled hedgehog to front. Silver gilded text on spine. Spine and corners lightly bumped. Unclipped (25s net) jacket is scuffed along extremities and has a few negligible closed tears, but remains complete and loss-free. Negligible soiling to rear. Pages are very lightly tanned, but – apart from some negligible marks on one or two pages – in excellent, unmarked condition, with not so much as a suggestion of foxing in sight, and well bound.
An excellent copy of the scarce first edition.
