Title: The Bobbsey Twins Camping out
Author: Laura Lee Hope
Illustrator: Unknown

Binding: Hardback

Description: The seventh instalment in America's answer to The Famous Five documents the Twins' thrills and spills as they go camping in the U.S. countryside.

Unusually, this volume contains several b&w illustrations, rather than the standard frontis and rear illustration. The b&w frontispiece shows the Twins standing on a windswept hill, whilst Freddie is pointing to the entrance of a cave. The endpapers and pastedowns are illustrated with a b&w pattern of miscellaneous, holiday-related objects (e.g. beach balls, windmills, circus tents, &c.).

The jacket has been laminated and reinforced with paper by the previous owner, and bears its original price of 5´-. The pages themselves are in excellent condition: clean and free from any foxing or other markings. The endpapers are discoloured where they have made contact with the jacket flaps.

Measures 19.5 cm × 13 cm (7.8″ × 5.2″). Small 8vo. 183 pp.

Price: £25.00
