Description: Part of the Ladybird Junior Science series, this stunningly illustrated book introduces children to optics through various experiments, including projects for making periscopes, telescopes and even a toy camera.
Evocative, full-page, colour illustrations on every other page. Pastedowns and endpapers contain a double-spread, b&w illustration of all the materials required to perform the experiments set out in the book.
As is the case with most matt board Ladybirds, the corners and spine have been bumped. There is also a slight crease (approx. 3 cm/1.2″) on the front board extending from where it meets the spine and some wear along the top (refer to image). Internally, the book would have been in excellent condition were it not for some spots of foxing and grubby marks here and there. The illustrations are unaffected, however, and remain crisp and bright. The binding is very tight.
Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7″ × 4.6″). 12mo. 51 pp.
