Description: A rare and fascinating book about such famous personages from mediæval Britain as Richard the Lion-Heart and Geoffrey Chaucer.
Unusually for a textbook, the entries for each person are in story form and are written in very engaging prose.

Contains 12 exquisite colour plates (including a frontis), plus evocative b&w illustrations on virtually every page.

Textured turquoise boards with embossed text. Corners lightly bumped. Spine lightly bumped and discoloured. School stamp on ffep and light marks on front pastedown. School stamp on rear of one plate. All pages have a hint of tanning around their edges, but are otherwise in superb condition: tightly bound, and completely unmarked. Plates are as new.

Measures 21 cm × 14 cm (8.4″ × 5.6″). 8vo. 120 pp.

Price: £7.50
