Description: Adapted from the blurb: "Here at last is a nature book with an appeal for all children. Martin and Lucy Duncan have written what must certainly be one of the most comprehensive and thrilling books of this description.
The wonderful microscopic workings of nature are revealed for the first time to the town-dwelling child, while to the child who lives in the country, ordinary everyday occurrences in the garden take on a new significance."

Illustrated throughout with beautiful colour plates and high-quality b&w photographs.

Pages are in excellent overall condition: very bright and free from foxing — though a number do have some slight markings where the print from the neighbouring page has run. There is some discolouration where the flyleaf and endpaper have made contact with the front and rear pastedowns, respectively.
The jacket has been price-clipped and is generally in very good condition. Its only major defects are a small stain near the right edge (refer to image) and a minor loss along the top edge.

Measures 20.5 cm × 13 cm (8.2″ × 5.2″). 8vo. 320 pp.
