Book Condition: Very Good/Good

Description: A rare book which skilfully combines geography and history with religion. Beautifully illustrated throughout in colour and two-tone monochrome. All illustrations are full-page. Contains many maps and schematics of notable buildings. Illustrated pastedowns and endpapers.
For an ex-school library book, it is in very good condition. The pages are clean and completely free of foxing, though one or two have some annotations made in pencil. There are the usual library stamps present: one on the contents page, the other on the acknowledgements page. The lending record is still affixed to the title page and has some very humorous entries indeed. Sean Conery [sic] borrowed the book in 1000 BC; Captain Spock took it 100 light years from 1980 (evidently he had been promoted from Doctor to Captain by then!) and even Jesus borrowed the book 100 years before his birth – 100 BC! Even more incredible is how all of these famous male personages attended a girls' school!
Measures 28 cm × 20 cm (11.2″ × 8″). 4to. 64 pp.
