Description: Split into three sections – Game, Freshwater, and Saltwater fish – this is a book which no keen angler should be without. Contains detailed information about the characteristics about each fish – including 'local names', such as 'Old Wife' for black bream – plus information on where to find, and how to catch, it.
Excellent, full-page b&w drawings accompany each entry, illustrating the fish in question, plus the necessary bait and tackle with which to lure it.
The book appears to have been used 'in the field', as there are some muddy finger marks on the rear cover! Tanned pages are printed on cheap, recycled paper, but remain free from foxing. Binding is tight.
Rare 1975 printing.
Measures 18 cm × 11 cm (7.2″ × 4.4″). 12mo. 125 pp + 2 pp. catalogue of other books by the author, and an ad for Pegley-Davies fishing tackle.
