Description: The classic tale of Tristan and Iseult set in 19th century Cornwall. Originally penned by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch (better known by his nom de plume 'Q'), Castle Dor was left unfinished, and forgotten. It wasn't until Q's death in 1944 that the manuscript was rediscovered, and a further 17 years would elapse before the novel would be finished by Daphne du Maurier.

The jacket is almost in mint condition. Its only flaw being some very light grubby marks on the rear. Needless to say, the jacket hasn't been price-clipped (16s net). Internally, the book is as new: completely devoid of any foxing, markings or creasing. The only defect is a small date and, what appears to be, an inventory number which have been lightly impressed onto the ffep with a rubber stamp.

An excellent example of the first British edition.

Measures 19.5 cm × 13 cm (7.8″ × 5.2″). Small 8vo. 242 pp.
