Description: A rare and wonderful book consisting of over 100 different ideas for gifts, toys, and other cute little trinkets. Projects include a cardboard cottage, rag animals, paper dolls and flowers for her; whilst for him there are imitation guns, toys made from matchboxes, and even a working model of a Victorian telephone!
Illustrated throughout with charming b&w line drawings, sketches, and diagrams. Includes b&w frontispiece.
Blue pictorial cloth boards with embossed details. Publisher's ornamental logo on rear. Corners bumped. Spine darkened and bumped. Two gift inscriptions: one in black ink dated 7/12/11 on the front pastedown; the second, in pencil, is dated 1st January '16 on the ffep. Frontispiece has been tastefully coloured with crayons by previous owner, and has a tiny loss at the foot of the page (does not affect image). A few other illustrations have been very skilfully coloured in using paint. A few pencil marks are present on the contents page where the owner noted which projects they had attempted. All pages tanned (some less so than others), but are undamaged and free from foxing.
