Illustrated throughout with Watson's wonderful b&w sketches – several of which are full-page.
Coffee cloth boards with embossed gilt motif in lower-right corner and embossed, gilded text on spine. Tail of spine bumped, otherwise boards are in pristine condition. Unclipped (£2.25) and undamaged dust jacket in protective sleeve and reinforced with paper. Previous owner's ex-libris pasted over with blank paper on front pastedown. Pastedowns and endpapers lightly foxed – some grubby marks on front. Date of acquisition stamped on rear pastedown. Otherwise all pages are in superb condition: crisp, clean, bright and completely devoid of foxing and tanning. An inscription has been blocked out in black ballpoint on the page-tips.
