Buff, flexible covers with chocolate text on spine. Covers somewhat discoloured. Upper-right corner on front dog-eared. Price-clipped dust jacket scuffed along upper edges. Small loss at spine ends. Minor stain on front (refer to image). Spine rubbed along edges. Light soiling on rear. Attractive "Haslam's Bookshop and Circulating Library" sticker affixed to inside front cover. The dog-ear on the front cover has affected all pages. Otherwise all pages are unmarked, completely free from foxing and have even managed to resist tanning – there is just a hint in the gutter. Pages are tightly bound and in remarkable condition considering the book will soon be 60 years old.
