Description: An extremely rare book cookery book featuring recipes which call for Allinson's famous wholewheat flour. Ranging from breads, cakes, and pastries, to main meals and even soups (hot as well as cold!), recipes include such culinary curiosities as Potato Bread, Spicy Fruit Drop Scones, Turkish Yoghurt-Beef Soup, Savoury Crumble, or Chestnut Ice-Cream Special.
Also features a concise history of the Allinson company, plus useful tips for bread-making (including common faults and how to remedy them). Measurements are given in, both, Metric and Imperial.
For added nostalgia, two pages have been dedicated to the Allinson product range of the early 1980s – complete with sepia illustrations.

Illustrated throughout with lovely sepia drawings, plus two double-sided colour plates.

Glazed pictorial covers are in excellent condition for their age, with only negligible scuffing along extremities. Internally, the book is effectively as new. Pages have been printed on buttermilk coloured paper, whilst the text is brown in colour. All pages are crisp, unmarked, and completely free from any defect.
