Description: "The first books that a child looks at are as important as any he will ever have. If they delight and satisfy, then it is certain that a good foundation is being laid for a love of books and reading.
This Ladybird book has been specially planned to illustrate familiar objects which a child will enjoy recognising and naming."

Beautiful, full-page colour illustrations are accompanied by large text in a charming 'school handwriting' font on the verso. One of the highlights is a delightfully nostalgic Leyland National bus. Rear endpaper and pastedown illustrated with b&w sketches of some of the objects featured in the book.

Glazed pictorial boards. Light scratches and love-bites on covers. Minor bumping to spine ends and covers Negligible stain on page edge. Pages very lightly creased from handling, otherwise the book is in excellent internal condition. Super-tight binding. Price of 70p dates this copy from c.1984.

A lovely copy of a very scarce book.

Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7″ × 4.6″). 12mo. 51 pp.
