Description: "'It's a warm evening,' remarked Harris as he and his friend Bostock exposed the baby Adelaide on the hill like a Spartan child, 'so I don't suppose she'll come to much harm.' But alas for his plans, it was not the expected she-wolf who came to succour the infant, but two members of the human species, who then incompetently lost her. The boys found a gipsy baby to occupy her empty cradle, but this was only the beginning of the complications and adventures in The Strange Affair of Adelaide Harris. An immensely successful comic story by the author of Smith and Black Jack."
Illustrated with several, humorous b&w drawings by the acclaimed Fritz Wegner.
