Description: "When a daughter, Mary, was born to Mr and Mrs Hollywell, they were delighted; there were now three members of the Hollywell family. Mary grew tall and strong and her mother and father loved her dearly but Mary longed for a baby brother – and so did Mr and Mrs Hollywell. When at last the doctor told them the sad news that Mary's mother would never be able to have another baby, they made their decision to adopt a brother for Mary. This is the story of how the three of them set about it and of how George became the fourth member of the Hollywell family. Shirley Hughes brings them all vividly to life with her warm and understanding pictures."
Matt pictorial boards repeat jacket design. Spine ends lightly bumped; corners are straight.
