Description: "The Victorian age was one of great complexity and contrast, and it brought much that was new not only by way of discovery and invention but also in its great social reforms.
Queen Victoria, as both Head of State and wife and mother, had many problems to contend with. A woman of character and determination, she dealt with them all in her own firm way. Here is the story of her life and reign."

Beautifully illustrated throughout in full-colour; including a superb double-spread scene depicting the interior of the Crystal Palace, complete with foreign dignitaries. Front pastedown and endpaper feature a partially illustrated timeline of notable events in the Victorian period.

Laminated pictorial boards are rather worn along their extremities. Spine and corners are bumped and rubbed. School stamp on title page. Staining along page edges, otherwise all are in very good condition. Binding is sound.

Genuine first edition: Queen Victoria is the last title listed on the rear

Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7″ × 4.5″). 12mo. 51 pp. + index on endpaper and pastedown.
