Description: "Ransome, Sims and Jeffries were three astonishing chickens who were to become a legend to future generations at Foxearth Farm. Not only could they fly out of the reach of foxes, but they found a way of defeating even the most crafty of attacks. Their deeds would be told in years to come by every hen to every brood of chicks, and by every vixen to every litter of foxcubs. For these three sisters were the Fox Busters."
Humorous b&w illustrations throughout.
Smooth pictorial covers have just the slightest of wear in the form of a few negligible scratches. Pages are lightly tanned (standard fare in a paperback fast approaching its 35th birthday), but are in otherwise excellent condition: unmarked, not a spot of foxing (those avian sisters certainly did their job well!), and very tightly bound.
A very nice collectors' copy of the scarce first Puffin edition.
Measures 17.5 cm × 11 cm (7″ × 4.4″). 12mo. 111 pp.
