Description: "[Published to commemorate the centenary of Peter Rabbit] Here are ten of Beatrix Potter's most popular tales brought together in one volume, complete and unabridged, with all their original illustrations. The collection begins with one of the most famous stories of all time, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, and goes on to introduce some splendid childhood friends, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Samuel Whiskers and Pigling Bland. Although each story stands on its own, several are linked together by events, and familiar characters reappear as the stories progress. Readers will enjoy following the increasingly exciting adventures of Tom Kitten and discovering what happens to Peter Rabbit when he grows up."
Sky blue cloth boards are in immaculate condition, bar a negligible bump to the tail of the spine. Includes fabric bookmark. Unclipped (£11.99) pictorial jacket is very lightly scuffed along its extremities, and has some notes impressed onto the rear from where the book was used as a rest – but this is only visible under direct light. Apart from a minor dog ear on p. 31, the glossy pages are in superb condition. Binding is very tight.
