Title: Our Royal Family
Year: 1971 (First Edition)
Book Condition: Near Excellent
Jacket Condition: N/A
Description: Rare book, whose format lies somewhere between an annual and an album, documenting the recent history (1920s onwards) of the Royal Family in an accessible and unpretentious manner. Some of the language used may elicit a smirk amongst younger readers where Prince Philip is described as 'gay'! A fascinating insight into the House of Windsor's public and private lives during the 1950s and '60s.
Illustrated throughout with excellent, high-quality b&w and colour photographs – many of which are full-page and have rarely been published.
Glazed pictorial boards. Spine and upper corners very lightly bumped. Some minor creasing to the spine and front board (refer to image). Apart from some negligible tanning at the foot, pages are in excellent condition: unmarked, tightly bound, and not a speck of foxing in sight. Not price-clipped; bears original dual price of 40p 8/-.
Measures 28 cm × 21 cm (11.2″ × 8.4″). Large 4to. Unpaginated.
