Title: How It Works... The Motor Car
Author: David Carey
Illustrator: Gerald Witcomb
Publisher: Ladybird Books Ltd.
Remarks: '80s reprint; gift inscription
Book Condition: Good/Very Good

Description: "What goes under the bonnet is a mystery to many people. This book, with the aid of clear colour illustrations and diagrams, will dispel that mystery. It explains simply and clearly the different parts of the car, their position and how they work."
In true Ladybird fashion, there are beautiful, full-page colour illustrations on every other page. The front pastedown and endpaper form a double-spread, b&w illustration of a generic 1960s engine.
The boards are in good overall condition, with any rubbing or wear being confined to the extremities. Like most matt board Ladybirds, the spine and corners are bumped. There is a gift inscription dated 1981 on the title page. On the whole, the pages are in excellent, unmarked condition. Unfortunately one page has been slightly creased. Binding is extremely tight.
A very scarce reprint.
Measures 17.5 cm × 11.5 cm (7″ × 4.6″). 12mo. 52 pp.
